Romper Revamp

I know I’m not the only one that has a clothing item that no longer fits or never did to begin with. I have a bad habit of online shopping at night, then having no recollection of it in the morning.. I don’t know about you, but I’m not a good judgement on sizes when I’m half asleep at 2am on Forever! I ordered this adorable floral romper last summer. Once it arrived, I realized it was a bit tight! I instantly looked it up to see if I could get a bigger size and nope.. All sold out! Probably because it was $12 regular price and I got it on clearance for $7..STEAL!

So here I am with a romper that doesn’t fit and the tag is still hanging there haunting me. I’ll never know what makes me hang on to things like this but in this case I’m glad I did. I was cleaning out my closet and found it hidden in the back.. Obviously not being worn. I tried it on and yep still too tight. I could zip it and still breath, but is was just too snug from the waist down.

I didn’t want to get rid of it but I wouldn’t be able to wear it. So I got creative.. I paired it with this black leather circle skirt! It somehow works.. You would never know it was a romper and it makes a cute cami for this look!

I kept looking through my closet determined to see what else could transform this romper. Next, I put on this long pale pink sweater and added velvet boots to dress up the look.

Both outfits give off edgy vibes and completely put a spin on an ordinary floral romper. If anything, I learned to get crafty and don’t just look at your clothes in black and white. Sometimes a shirt isn’t just a shirt, maybe it’s a cute dress when paired with the right boots and jacket.

Keep an open mind and always wear your creations with confidence.
